ITINERARY

Day 1 - Bienvenue à Paris- Welcome to Paris
We will kick off the experience with a champagne toast after you drop your bags, take a short rest or shower and get ready to walk off the jet lag with a stroll around our distinctive neighborhood, in the --th arrondisement, Montmartre before heading to our welcome dinner at a local bistro. Montmartre has a very interesting history and was once so popular with African Americans it was known as the “Harlem of the City of Lights.”  During the 1920s and 1930s, Montmartre attracted legends such as singer Josephine Baker, airman Eugene Bullard, Ada “Bricktop” Smith and the Harlem Hellfighters, a popular jazz ensemble of Black American military men.  Strolling the streets of Montmartre, touching buildings where Bricktop had her famous club, imagining avenues full of Black expats out for a Saturday night, one can almost hear the music of Sidney Bechet, a New Orleans jazz performer who found fame in the neighborhood.

Day 2 - Postcard Paris
What’s Paris without the Mona Lisa? You'll see her (or him?) at the Louvre, before spending the afternoon making your own personal French parfume. Later we will show you Paris at it's magical best.
As we jump from one side of the river to the next, but first we’ll set off to a local Parisians dining room for an authentic dining experience.

Day 3 - Explore Black Paris
Get ready for a day of adventure exploring Paris through the lens of Black Paris. Black Paris will lead you through an exciting, unique way to experience the City of Lights. You will learn about the history of African American expats in Paris while getting a glimpse of Parisian attractions. This evening you will continue to explore Black Paris through your belly at an African/Caribbean restaurant.

Day 4 - Day Trip to Bruges
Discover the beauty of Bruges on a day trip from Paris.  By foot admire the UNESCO city & well-preserved medieval architecture with a local guide and learn about the history of this picturesque Belgian town. Our visit to this unique town with its age-old houses and picturesque bridges is best seen by guided boat trip down the lazy canals. Soak up the sights of the "Little Venice of the North" on a canal cruise. Your afternoon is free to shop and try the many local delicacies such as Belgium chocolate, waffle or local beer.

Day 5 - Discover Paris on Your Own
Today is a Full Day at Your Leisure

Day 6 - A Bientôt Paris
Your time in Paris is winding down, but don’t worry, you’ll have time to squeeze in the remaining things on your list along with a few surprises. Spend the day at your leisure before joining the group for our farewell dinner.

Day 7 - Au revoir - Goodbye (Departure)
It will be hard to tear yourself away from Paris at this point for you scheduled departure, but all great things must come to an end. Prepare for pick-up to return back to the USA.
